The builder holds your draft in the page you have open. We don’t have accounts, saved history, or a server library of your kits. Creating or refining a voice sends your inputs to OpenAI. The details are below.
Choosing from the collection
The collection contains finished Soul Kits. Browsing and downloading those files sends no generation request to OpenAI.
Creating or refining a voice
When you create a voice, your choices and notes go through our server to OpenAI. For a refinement, we also send the selected kit and the changes you requested. The result returns to your browser. We don’t store it in a database or log its content.
Keeping your download
Select “Download Soul Kit” to save a copy on your device. Until you download it, your draft exists in the page’s memory. Refreshing or closing the page clears that draft.
Using Soulware in ChatGPT or Codex
Soulware reads the Soul Kit you choose in your ChatGPT or Codex environment. The plugin’s bundled importer makes no network requests and does not send your kit or conversations to Honorary Human. When you ask for local Codex installation, it creates voice-skill files on your computer; making a voice the default also adds a clearly marked instruction block in the scope you choose. Removing the plugin does not automatically remove voice skills you installed separately. ChatGPT and Codex process the files and conversations you provide under their own settings and policies. Creating or refining a personality through the Honorary Human website uses the generation flow described above.
What our providers may retain
We ask OpenAI not to store the generated response as an API response object. OpenAI may retain data under its safety and service policies, and hosting providers may retain request metadata. We cannot promise that every service retains nothing.
